New Programs for September 29 - October 4

Monday, September 29: Banned Book Week (til Oct. 6th), Rosh Hashanah begins at sundown
4:oo - 4:30 PM, Preschool Storytime, Age 3 & up.

Wednesday, October 1:
4:00 - 5:00 PM, Celebrate Banned Books Week!, Everyone is welcome.
You are invited to come read a banned book. We can help you pick out a "banned book".

Thursday, October 2:
10:30 -11:00 AM, Toddler Storytime, Age 2 with an adult.

4:00 - 5:00 PM, Book Bingo, Grades K - 3.

Marian....Good column on book banning. You neglected to mention a more3 insidious form of it. In 2004, I could not get my library to get back several copies of a book critical of Senator John Kerry from left-wing patrons. I had to threaten a lawsuit before they acted. Diddto for B&N which hides conservative books but puts liberal books on the front counters. Who wants to read some trash by that hemorrhoid Michael Moore???
