The Friends of the Library hold a Holiday Dinner

The Friends of Neptune Library held a holiday dinner Thursday. Everyone enjoyed the pot-luck meal and festive spirit. Happy Holidays to all!

Mrs. Claus visits our Library!

On December 12, Mrs. Claus took time out of her busy schedule to stop by Neptune Library and read to us for our Pajama Storytime! Everyone had a great time!

Our Angel Tree was a HUGE success!

This was our biggest year ever!
Thanks so much to all our patrons. We collected gifts for
41 children and were able to provide a Shop-Rite gift card
to 12 families for their holiday meals.
Your generosity astounds us and enables
us to help local families year after year.

Thank you again!

Asbury Park Press launches new Database of public records

http://app.com/datauniverse

If you ever wondered how much the governor is paid, how many math teachers are in your child's school, or what prices the homes on your block sold for, look no further.
You can find that information and more here on the DataUniverse section of app.com. This section places a host of powerful and searchable public databases at your fingertips. And the best news: It's free.

With the DataUniverse, you will find:

  • Local home sales data from 1999 to 2006, searchable by town or address.
  • Property ownership records throughout New Jersey, searchable by name or address.
  • Detailed town-by-town crime statistics since 1996.
  • A database of New Jersey state government employees, searchable by name, salary or department.
  • Campaign contribution records for state races and PACs, searchable by name, zip code or candidate.
  • Public school teacher and administrator salaries and job experience.
  • Links to New Jersey prison inmates, past and present, and the state's sex offender Internet registery.
  • Links to consumer information sites, such as a database of doctors who have been disciplined, and charity financial information.

But this is only the beginning. In the coming weeks and months, the site will grow as they add more databases and links.
